Lynda Carter

 Carter was born in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Juanita (nee Cordova) and Colby Carter.Her father is of English and Scots-Irish heritage and her mother who is from Mexico is of Mexican, Spanish, and French descent. She has one brothernamed Vincent and a sister, Pamela. Carter has made her television debut on Lew King's Talent Show at age 5. During high school, Carter was part of a group known as Just Us. The band used a marimba, conga drums, an acoustic guitar and stand-up basses. One member of the group also played guitar. Lynda started singing at a local pizzeria at the age of 15. [8] She joined her cousins, The Relatives, when she was 16. The drummer of the group was Gary Burghoff, an actor. The band was first introduced in Las Vegas at the Sahara Hotel and Casino Lounge. Carter was 21 years old when she was seated in the kitchen. After being voted "Most Talented" at the age of 18, she left to pursue a career in music. Carter was a candidate for The Garfin Gathering in 1970. She then went on tour with Howard (Speedy), Garfin. Their first concert together was in the Holiday Inn Chinatown in San Francisco, which was so brand-new that it didn't even have a sidewalk entrance. The band played mostly for hotel employees and guests of the hotel who parked their vehicles in the underground garage. The Garfin Gathering played shows in several Nevada casino lounges, such as those between Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Reno. Carter was forced to leave the Garfin Gathering for acting, and she returned home to Arizona in 1972.
